The CHALLENGE RACE Series

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Titus Mountain Challenge Race series runs for the ski season. It is designed
to create a competitive race course environment for those skiers and boarders who wish to put their skills to the test against other skiers in their own age/gender bracket.
The Race Coaching Program and the Challenge Race series are separate. You do not
need to participate in the coaching program to race. Everyone is welcome!
Participants are permitted two runs each race; the best run of the two will count for the competition. Skiers and boarders of all ages are encouraged to participate. Racing takes place on Chair 1; race courses are set on either the Sunset or Whistler trails. Depending on snow conditions, the races are either Giant Slalom, Panel Slalom or regular Slalom. The number of GS or slalom races are dependent upon snow conditions. However, there is a calendar on the Titus Mountain Race Group FB page to enlighten those who would like to know what has tentatively been planned for a particular race day. At the conclusion of each race, an awards ceremony is conducted at the Race Shack located at the bottom of the race course at Chair 1. All participants under the age of 18 will receive an award and, usually, those over 18 will as well.
